Our Services

At Welcome to Wellness Chiropractic, our goal is to offer chiropractic services aimed at enhancing your well-being and enabling you to lead a life free from pain.  Dr. Renee is highly trained and experienced, and she will work with you to develop a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.

We provide various chiropractic services, including:

“Network Spinal Analysis inspires us to trust the healing power within us.” – Deepak Chopra, M.D.

Body symptoms are linked to the Nervous System and how your nervous system is holding on to things. It has been researched and reported that stress, trauma, chemicals, inflammation all get stored in the nervous system. Once it gets stuck there, it effects muscles, joints, the immune system, the emotional system and much more.

We are here to help release what is stuck in your nervous system with a HOLISTIC approach. That means that even if your pain is in one place, the origination or CAUSE could be in another place. Too often, the WHOLE person is ignored and is treated as a symptom.

You only have one body, and we are here to help you take care of it.

Network Spinal Care is an advanced form of chiropractic. The process seeks to resolve spinal subluxations by helping re-pattern your nervous system, spine, and muscles.

The re-patterning of your nervous system helps your body unwind physical, emotional and mental stresses that are trapped in your body. Then the body can heal itself, recover from injury and pain, and correct its own posture and breathing so you can feel better and live better.

Research has shown that through these specific, low-force touches to the spine, you can:

  • Adapt to stress better
  • Release tension from the spine, muscles and nerves
  • Connect with your body
  • Experience greater well-being
  • Make healthier choices
  • Have a better and quicker “bounce back” from challenges
  • Restore your breathing to deep and relaxing

We are here to help you RESTORE function to your body so that you can LIVE LIFE BETTER. In our office, it’s not just about the bone that may be out of place.  It’s about guiding YOU and YOUR LIFE in a healthier direction!

  • Headaches.

  • Shortness of breath.

Candace Pert, PhD is a leader in the area of emotions and how they affect the body. She answers the questions, “How do our thoughts and emotions affect our health? Are our bodies and minds distinct from each other or do they function together as parts of an interconnected system?”

In her groundbreaking book Molecules of Emotion, she writes:

“-the body and mind are not separate, and we cannot treat one without the other.”

She also states,

“Network Spinal Analysis represents the epitome of ‘body’ work in our time; the leading edge of BodyMindSpirit integration. This work will transform the planet.” – Candace Pert Ph.D. Professor of Research, Georgetown University, Author of “Molecules of Emotion”

Network Spinal Care works on the spine and the nervous system to help release the posture, pains and physical stressors (including vertebral subluxations) that prevent it from full nerve FLOW. As the spine and nerves shed the stress, the healing abilities of the nervous system are released!

At Welcome To Wellness, we are here to help you uncover what’s been invisible or hidden from you about your health. We know that often the underlying causes of symptoms are not investigated. That’s where we come in…

Functional medicine focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of symptoms. Each symptom may be one of many that are contributing to an individual’s symptoms.

Looking at the picture below, you can see the organs and systems that can be affected by inflammation. Whereas others will look to stop the symptom, or suppress the symptom, we look for the root cause. The keys to health and longevity are to figure out where the inflammation is coming from and how we can address it to heal YOU from the inside out.

Holistic Chiropractor dealing with Inflammation

Then we create a custom program designed specifically for YOU!!

Here are some testimonials that speak to our work.

Hi Dr. Renee!

You helped me to understand my body from a functional medicine perspective. What truly helped me a great deal is the way you analyzed my blood work and showed me that standard lab results do not show ranges that are for optimal organ and system functioning. Understanding the narrower ranges for optimal vitalization has really been life changing in raising my awareness about my own health.

Finally, I appreciated your style. You are real, direct, knowledgeable, and you took the time to show me and teach me.

Much Love,

Laurie

Breathing Wellness:

WHAT IS SOMATO-RESPIRATORY INTEGRATION
And
WHAT CAN IT DO FOR ME?

Breathing Wellness is not about teaching you how to breath. It’s about teaching you and your body to adapt to life stresses because of how your body has stored stress from the present and the past. It’s about your wellness because it releases the stress, traumas and emotions that no longer serve you, your life, or your wellness.

Breathing Wellness works with the Vagus Nerve and balances your nervous system and brain. A balanced nervous system will help you hustle when you need to hustle and heal, repair and recover when you need to heal, repair and recover.

Breathing Wellness is a specific set of exercises designed to help connect your body (somatic), your breath (respiratory), your body’s energy and inner wisdom. Life, and all the things that come with life, can distract us from staying grounded. Breathing Wellness helps reconnect you to your center so that the outside distractions do not throw you off your game.

Breathing Wellness lays its foundation in Somato-Respiratory Integration, which originates from Dr. Donald Epstein, the creator and developer of Network Spinal Analysis.

Posture

According to Dr. Epstein,

“When we can breathe fully and freely, we bring life, movement, peace, energy, and relaxation throughout the body.  When these elements are combined or integrated, what results is a breakdown of old tension and a release of healing power for use to the benefit of your greater being.”

Traumatic events in your life that are interpreted by your brain as not “safe” to experience will be stored in the body as vibration.  Over time, that energetic vibration will take physical form as muscle spasm, pain, spinal distortion, posture changes, reduced breathing, and reduced motion.  Your ability to connect with those areas of the body becomes impaired, since your body perceives that original vibration as unsafe to deal with.  It is only when you can experience the original energy in safety, can you turn that once offensive event into your medicine; your fuel for healing!

Each Breathing Wellness exercise addresses a pattern that has been stuck in the body. With your hands placed on your body in specific places, we can free the bound-up energy and spontaneous healing can occur.

Breathing Wellness exercises differ from breath work therapies.  Think of these exercises as connection exercises.  Just like you go to the gym for greater muscle strength and cardiovascular health; these exercises can be incorporated into your daily routine, strengthening your connection of your body, nervous system, health, wellness and mood.

Most important in Breathing Wellness exercises is that your “higher” brain becomes engaged in the process.  By this, we do not mean that you think, analyze, or rationalize what is going on in your session at that time.  We are accessing the healing power of your body and your brain. The alternative is automatic breathing, which we do every day, but that may not be in your highest health interest.

Your connection to your body will be facilitated with a trained Breathing Wellness Educator. This is someone who helps you to find your inner peace, your inner strength, your inner empowerment, and/or your inner healing. When you tap into your body’s wisdom, it will improve your health and your life. You only have one body and we are here to help you take care of it!

The vagus nerve is a crucial component of the nervous system, responsible for regulating various bodily functions such as digestion, heart rate, and breathing. Supporting the vagus nerve can have a positive impact on overall health and well-being. Here are some ways to support the vagus nerve:

  1. Deep breathing: Slow, deep breaths stimulate the vagus nerve and help to promote relaxation.
  2. Exercise: Regular exercise can improve vagal tone, which is the measure of the strength and function of the vagus nerve.
  3. Meditation: Mindfulness meditation and other relaxation techniques can help to stimulate the vagus nerve and promote relaxation.
  4. Cold exposure: Exposure to cold water or air can stimulate the vagus nerve and improve overall nerve function.
  5. Probiotics: Research suggests that probiotics can improve vagal function and overall gut health.
  6. Massage: Gentle massage, especially around the neck and throat, can help to stimulate the vagus nerve.
  7. Social engagement: Positive social interactions, such as spending time with friends and family, can help to improve vagal tone and overall well-being.

Toxins come from our air, water, alcohol, drugs, medications, food and what we put on our body. These toxins get stored in our fat cells. The liver and skin do their best to get rid of these toxins but sometimes it’s too much and the body gets overloaded by them.

This sheet shows some of the effects of toxins on the body.

Holistic Chiropractor eliminates toxins

If you are looking for healthy ways to cleanse or get rid of toxins, we can create programs designed specifically for you. These programs include proper nutrition based on testing that we do to figure out where you’re lacking in vitamins and minerals. We also look to see if you have too much of certain vitamins and minerals.

At Welcome to Wellness, we have detoxification tools in our office such as an infrared, RED LIGHT, sauna as well as a detoxification foot bath station. These methods, coupled with the inside out approach makes for the perfect program for your body and the health goals that you have.

We look forward to working with you!

At Welcome To Wellness we offer a full range of testing to determine the best way to improve your health and well-being.

Comprehensive Blood Tests
Comprehensive blood tests are a type of laboratory test that measures a wide range of substances in the blood, including markers of organ function, nutrient levels, blood cell counts, and hormonal levels.  Comprehensive blood testing can provide important information about overall health and help identify underlying health problems, such as anemia, diabetes, liver or kidney disease, and hormonal imbalances. It can also be used to monitor the effectiveness of treatments for these conditions.

Hormone Testing
Hormone testing can be used to diagnose hormone-related health problems and monitor the effectiveness of hormone replacement therapy or other treatments. It can also be used to identify underlying causes of symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain or loss, and mood changes. Hormone testing can be performed using blood, saliva, or urine samples.

Gut Health Testing
Gut health testing is a process of analyzing the microorganisms that live in the digestive tract, as well as other factors that can affect digestive health. These tests can help identify imbalances or dysfunctions in the gut microbiome, which can contribute to a variety of health problems.  Gut health testing can provide valuable information about a person’s digestive health and help identify potential causes of gut-related health problems. Providers can develop personalized treatment plans that may include dietary changes, probiotics, and other supplements, as well as other lifestyle modifications.

Stool Testing
Stool testing is a medical procedure in which a sample of a person’s stool is collected and analyzed in a laboratory to help diagnose or monitor various conditions. Stool testing can provide information about a person’s digestive health, including the presence of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and other substances in the stool., Stool testing can be used to diagnose a variety of conditions.

Food Sensitivity Testing
Food sensitivity testing is a type of laboratory test used to identify specific foods or food components that may trigger an immune response or other adverse reaction in the body. Food sensitivities can cause a wide range of symptoms, including digestive problems, skin rashes, headaches, and fatigue. Food sensitivity testing can help identify specific foods or food components that may be causing symptoms, and can guide dietary changes to improve overall health and well-being.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Testing
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) testing is a laboratory test that analyzes a small sample of hair to measure levels of various minerals and trace elements. These minerals and trace elements play important roles in many bodily functions, including enzyme activity, energy production, and hormone balance. HTMA testing can provide valuable information about a person’s overall nutritional status and identify imbalances or deficiencies that may be contributing to health problems.

Amino Acid Testing
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins, which are essential for growth, repair, and maintenance of body tissues. There are 20 different amino acids that the body needs to function properly, and imbalances in these amino acids can contribute to a variety of health problems. Amino acid testing is often used to diagnose genetic disorders that affect the metabolism of certain amino acids. Amino acid testing can also be used to assess nutritional status, as well as to identify deficiencies or imbalances in amino acids that may be contributing to health problems. For example, low levels of certain amino acids can be associated with fatigue, depression, and other mood disorders, while high levels of other amino acids can be associated with liver or kidney problems.

Fat Content Testing
Body fat content testing is a way to measure the amount of body fat a person has relative to their overall body weight. Body fat testing can be important for determining overall health and fitness levels, as well as for assessing risk factors for certain health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. Body fat content testing can help individuals track their progress towards fitness and weight loss goals, as well as identify potential health risks associated with excess body fat.

Nervous System Health and Spine Health Testing
Testing for nervous system and spine health can involve a range of different procedures and diagnostic tests. A comprehensive physical examination can be used to assess the overall health of the nervous system and spine. This may include tests of reflexes, muscle strength and tone, and sensory function.

Biofeedback is a powerful tool to empower individuals to tune into their body’s signals. These signals can be out of the level of awareness because they are subtle and therefore, overlooked.

Biofeedback involves using a non invasive, pain free device to get information about the body’s functions back to the individual. This allows someone to gain a deeper understanding of their body. It’s like holding up a mirror to the inner workings of one’s body, revealing the effects of stress, relaxation, and emotional states on physical health.

Body's energetic field

Biomechanical changes and stress to the neuromusculoskeletal system are present during and immediately after pregnancy. Chiropractic evaluation and treatment during this period may be warranted and considered a safe and effective means of treating common musculoskeletal symptoms that many pregnant patients encounter.  Scientific evidence supports the effectiveness of pre and postnatal chiropractic support.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy may improve your emotional well-being, alleviate stress, and help with common discomforts such as back pain, pelvic pain, and sciatica.

In postnatal care, chiropractors may offer treatments to address emotional well-being, stress, nutrition and musculoskeletal issues that may have arisen during pregnancy or childbirth.

The normal birthing process is a potential source of trauma to the infant’s spine. At Welcome To Wellness, Dr Renee extends her understanding of spinal segmental dysfunction, or subluxation in chiropractic terminology, to apply to newborn spinal function, with the resultant concern for the health of the infant.  Correction of such a presentation may be accomplished through various light, precise, gentle techniques.
